OSCE Minsk Group is concerned about incidents in conflict zone
Elmar Mamedyarov and Edward Nalbandyan, the heads of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs (MFAs) of Azerbaijan of Armenia, respectively, held a meeting with the Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group on the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The Co-Chairs expressed their concern about the recent incidents at the demarcation line of armed forces on both sides of the conflict.
During the meeting held on January 24 inParis, the parties discussed further steps to advance the process of peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The Co-Chairs said in Paris that the recent events undermine the negotiations and reduce the chance of a peaceful settlement of the conflict. "They called on the parties to fully and strictly comply with the terms of the armistice. The heads of Government and the Co-Chairs discussed the issues of promoting the peace process on the basis of the outcome of the Vienna meeting of the presidents of the two countries in November last year. The Prime Ministers confirmed their readiness to continue the work towards peaceful settlement of the conflict," says the statement of the OSCE as quoted by the ITAR-TASS.
