Russian team at Paralympic Games in Sochi will include 83 athletes
On Thursday, the Russian team at the 11th Paralympic Games in Sochi was approved, where Russia will take part in six sports.
83 athletes will represent Russia at the Paralympics: in ice sledge hockey, biathlon, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, wheelchair curling and in alpine skiing, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
The Russian Paralympic team was approved at a joint meeting of staff for supervising the preparation of Russia's sports teams for the Paralympics and the executive committee of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC), which was chaired by the Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko and the RPC President Vladimir Lukin, the ITAR-TASS reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Russian Olympic team includes 223 athletes.
