Two accomplices of Volgograd suicide bombers detained in Semender, source reports
The operation to detain brothers Magomednabi and Tagir Batirov, suspected of aiding the suicide bombers, who committed terror acts in Volgograd, was conducted in the Dagestani village of Semender, where on January 18 law enforcers killed seven militants, said a source from the law enforcement bodies of the republic.
According to investigators, the Batirov brothers helped Asker Samedov and Suleiman Magomedov, members of the "Buynaksk" grouping, who were recently named the performers of the terror acts of December 29 and 30, 2013, to get to Volgograd.
Let us remind you that on January 18, in the course of a special operation, seven militants were killed in the village of Semender, located in the outskirt of Makhachkala, bordering the Buynaksk District, including Makhmud Aliev, the new Amir of Makhachkala militants, and Zaira Alieva, who had been trained as suicide bomber.
On the day of the special operation, a video was posted on the Internet, in which two men, who called themselves militants from the grouping "Ansar al-Sunna", named Suleiman and Abdurakhman, took responsibility for the Volgograd terror acts. They named "Amir Umar" as the head of their grouping; and linked the explosions with the recent cancellation by Doku Umarov, the head of "Imarat Kavkaz", of the moratorium on terror acts in the territory of Russia.
