Activist of "The Other Russia" states that OC "Sochi-2014" refused to give him fan's passport
Pavel Nagibin, an activist of "The Other Russia" Party from Rostov-on-Don, claims the politically motivated actions of "Sochi-2014" Organizing Committee (OC), which has refused to issue a fan's passport to him, thus, prohibiting him to attend the Olympic Games in Sochi.
According to Pavel Nagibin, he bought tickets to the Olympics for himself and his daughter. Since the passage to the sports facilities is allowed only with the fan's passport, the activist sent a request to the OC "Sochi-2014".
"After 72 hours, I received a reply from the OC that my application for a fan's passport was rejected," Pavel Nagibin told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"I'm an activist of 'Strategy-31' in Rostov-on-Don; and I stick to an active civil stand; that is why they wouldn't let me to the Olympics. I heard that there are other people who found themselves in the same situation," said Nagibin.
Let us remind you that Semyon Simonov, the coordinator of the network "Migration and Law" of the HRC "Memorial" in Sochi, was twice refused to issue a fan's passport by the OC. Simonov believes that the actions of the OC are the persecution for his work in providing legal assistance to migrant workers, involved in the construction of Sochi Olympic facilities.
