Georgia: Abkhazian refugees leave migrants' settlement Potskho-Etseri
Out of two hundred refugee families, who were sent in 2011 to live in the Georgian settlement of Potskho-Etseri, only five families continue living there. The rest of the families have moved to other parts of Georgia or returned to Abkhazia, the remaining refugees have reported.
They claim that they had been sent to Potskho-Etseri by the decision of Georgian authorities, not on their own will; and the living conditions there fail to meet their needs.
"I never gave my consent for resettlement to Potskho-Etseri. We were warned about it less than a day in advance. They came in the evening and said that the resettlement will start at 6 next morning and ordered to collect all our belongings," Sergey Bokuchava refugee from Abkhazia, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
In 2011, according to refugees, 200 families were sent to Potskho-Etseri; now, only five refugee families live there. They say that the rest of them have gone because they could not find work in Potskho-Etseri.
