In Dagestan, rights defenders report disappearance of earlier detained Kyrgyzstan citizen
Today, Madina Djamalutdinova, a native of Kyrgyzstan, was detained in Dagestan, said Aisha Selimkhanova, an activist of the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy), adding that the whereabouts of Djamalutdinova is unknown.
Madina was detained at the airport "Uitash", when she and her mother were going to fly home to Kyrgyzstan. When she was returning from the cash window to the registration post, she was approached by three unidentified men in civilian clothes, who asked her name, Selimkhanova, who talked to Madina by phone, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to the rights defender, the men told that Madina should go with them; they asked to take her things and passport. One of them showed the ID of a policeman. When asked about the destination, the agents said that they would go to Centre for Combating Extremism (CCE), Selimkhanova has explained.
According to her story, after Madina left the airport, communication with her was lost. "The whole day today we kept calling various authorities, but no result. Neither the CCE, nor the temporary detention facility (known as IVS) confirmed the fact of Djamalutdinova's detention," said the activist of the DRPO "Pravozaschita".
