Fourth day of Olympics added one medal to Russian team's stock
On the fourth day of the 22nd Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, eight sets of medals were competed. The only medal of the Russian team was the silver medal won by the speed skater Olga Fatkulina in the women's 500-meter race.
On February 11, the medals were on the stake in biathlon, cross-country skiing, speed skating, ski jumping, luge, snowboarding and freestyle.
The medal programme of the fourth day was opened by freestyle competitions in women's slopestyle, held in the Extreme Park "Roza Khutor". The Dara Howell won the gold medal.
In the men's final of the sprint ski race, the gold went to the Norwegian skier Ola Vigen Hattestad.
In the biathlon 10-km woman's pursuit race, the gold medal was won by the Belarus Darya Domracheva.
A South-Korean Sang-Hwa Lee, who was competing on the ice of the "Adler Arena", has won gold in the 500-meter race in women's speed skating, setting new Olympic records.
The final luge races were held at the Olympic Track Centre "Sanki" (Luge), where a German Natalie Geisenberger has won the first place.
The last Tuesday's set of medals was awarded in women's ski jumping held in the "Russian Hills" Complex. The German athlete Carina Vogt has won the gold.
