Volgograd hunger-striker needs medical care
On Wednesday, Olga Stepanova, a mother of many children, who is taking part in a hunger strike in Volgograd, needed medical help, said another protester Georgy Goryachevskiy. According to his story, they called an ambulance to the woman, but she refused from hospitalization.
"Olga suffers from diabetes; and she had increased blood tension and high sugar content. They made an injection to her, but she refused to be hospitalized," Mr Goryachevskiy told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
He noted that the protesters are taken to the Investigating Committee, where they write down their complaints.
"The Committee collects complaints about the failure to perform the Presidential Decree No. 431 ["On Measures of Social Support to Large Families"]. People write statements about the absence of housing, benefits, privileges in utility bills, free travel in public transport, and about high costs of social transport fares," said one of the hunger-strikers.
Let us remind you that Volgograd parents with many children and parents of children with disabilities went on hunger strike on February 4. They demand help in solving their housing problems, as well as to increase the sums of benefits and social allowances.
