Sochi UVD: Pussy Riot members were questioned in connection with hotel theft

Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina, members of the punk band Pussy Riot, have been questioned in connection with a report about a theft at the hotel, the Sochi UVD (Interior Department) reports.

On Tuesday, Tolokonnikova and Alyokhina wrote about their detention on the Twitter. Along with them, other activists were detained, including Semyon Simonov, the coordinator of the reception office of the network "Migration and Law" in Sochi, journalists of the Free Europe Radio and the "Novaya Gazeta" and the civic activist David Khakim.

The detainees were interrogated by the police of Adler. According to their version, they were forced to testify without a lawyer; and they have been treated rudely. "I was dragged with my face against the flooring throughout the conference hall; they twisted out my arms and threw me on the floor," Nadezhda Tolokonnikova wrote on the Twitter.

In the evening of the same day, Tolokonnikova and Alyokhina, journalists and activists were set free from the Sochi police, said Semyon Simonov.

The interrogation of the Pussy Riot members Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Maria Alyokhina is over; there are no claims against them, the RIA "Novosti" reports referring to the Sochi UVD.
