Volgograd Region: pensioner convicted for false message about bomb sent on December 29
A court from the Volgograd Region has sentenced a 62-year-old resident of the city of Volzhskiy to correctional labour for her false call about a bomb planted on a local HPP (hydropower plant), which she made on December 29, 2013, the day of the terror act in Volgograd.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 29 an explosion at the railway station of Volgograd was committed and killed 18 people. On the following day, on December 30, an explosion occurred in a Volgograd trolleybus, which killed 16 people. Both explosions were triggered by suicide bombers.
The Volzhskiy City Court has sentenced the pensioner Nadezhda Bakhareva to 400 hours of correctional works for a false call about an impending explosion of the Volga HPP, the portal "V1.ru" reports.
The woman fully admitted her guilt. At the trial, she explained that she made that call in the state of extreme alcohol intoxication. The woman asked the judge "not to punish her severely," the Volgograd portal "All for You" reports.
