Volgograd hunger-strikers intend to continue, despite solution of their personal problems
In Volgograd, today is the 17th day of the hunger strike held by parents of many children and parents of children with disabilities. Many personal problems of the protesters have been solved, but they plan to continue in order to achieve solution of all the raised problems.
As reported by Elena Samoshina, one of the protesters, eight hunger-strikers have spent this night in the building of the regional committee of the Communist Party of the Russian federation (CPRF). In total, according to her data, 26 people continue the hunger strike.
According to her story, during more than two weeks of the protest many personal problems have been solved.
Thus, Gaukhar Kazhgalieva, a mother of three children, has defended her right to live in a municipal room in the hostel. Galina Akeleva, a veteran of labour, received a 2-room apartment. An investigation was launched against the realtor, through the "help" of which Olga Zolotaryova, a mother of a disabled child, lost her housing. "The Military Prosecutor's Office is studying the circumstances of the trauma, received by her son in the army, as a result of which he became an invalid," said Samoshina.
She also said that some of the hunger-strikers are already drawing up the necessary documents for receiving land plots.
"The hunger strike will continue until all our demands are fulfilled," Elena Samoshina told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
