In Sochi, participant of scuffle with Pussy Riot and "Voina" art-group fined
Today, the instigator of the brawl on February 19 in Sochi between the Cossacks and member of the punk band Pussy Riot and the art-group "Voina" (War) was fined by one thousand roubles, said a source from the Sochi Transport Police.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, a Pussy Riot member, said that during the above scuffle Cossacks used whips and pepper gas. A Sochi civic activist David Khakim, said, in his turn, that there were about ten attackers.
The "Interfax" reports today with reference to the Sochi Transport Police that the instigator of the incident was served a protocol of an administrative offense, and he was fined by one thousand roubles.
As reported on the Twitter by Alexei Mandrigelya, an activist of the "Ecological Watch for Northern Caucasus", an application was submitted to hold a rally on February 23 inKrasnodar in support of the punished Cossack, who initiated the brawl.
