Organizer of action against Olympics in Nalchik states he was tortured by police
Andzor Akhokhov, the organizer of the action against the Olympics held in Nalchik, was released after ten days of administrative arrest and stated that the police had tortured him.
Let us remind you that, February 7 in Nalchik policemen stopped an action organized in protest against the 2014 Olympics opened on that day. According to bloggers, the police arrested about 25 people, including those who had no attitude to the action. According to the republic's prosecutor's office, in total, 29 people were detained. On February 8, the Nalchik City Court ruled on administrative arrests of six activists.
After his release, Andzor Akhokhov told reporters that he was the organizer of the action and added that he was tortured by the police, the edition "07kbr" writes today.
"I was prepared for the beatings and that they would put bags over my head; but I was not ready for electrodes. At police station No. 6 I confessed of everything that they wanted... But in fact I triggered no explosions. We just commemorated our ancestors," the edition named "Aheku.net" quotes Andzor Akhokhov as saying.
