Tsarnaev's advocates try to soften his prison regime
The advocates of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, accused in the USA of committing the terror act in Boston in April 2013, ask the court to withdraw the special prison restrictions imposed on their client. The team of advocates was strengthened by another lawyer, who specializes in cases, where the death penalty is considered.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the trial of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev will start on November 3, 2014. On January 30, the state prosecution demanded to sentence Tsarnaev to death. However, as reported in American press, the defendant may avoid the death penalty, if he makes a deal with the investigation. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev refuses to plead guilty on any of the 30 points of the indictment.
Yesterday, on February 20, Tsarnaev's advocates stated that the FBI monitors the preparation for the defence, while the prison authorities tried to track the documents in the digital format that were brought to Tsarnaev for acquaintance.
The defence believes that these measures violate the constitutional right of Tsarnaev to prepare the case without the intervention of the state.
