Advocate still cannot meet Alautdin Dadaev detained on February 17 (+video)
The lawyer Selim Magomedov, who was hired by relatives of Alautdin Dadaev, a resident of the village of Novy Agachaul in Dagestan, who was detained on February 17, and whose house was blown up on February 20, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that he was not admitted to his client yet.
"Yesterday (on February 20) I found out that Alautdin Dadaev is kept at the IVS (temporary detention facility) of the city of Izberbash. I wasn't let there on the grounds that I hadn’t an investigator's permit. It's illegal. A lawyer can meet his client under the warrant," said Selim Magomedov.
He assumes that they deliberately hide the defendant from him. "I'm sure they used illegal methods of investigation to Alautdin Dadaev; that is why they hide him," he said.
Let us remind you that on February 20 law enforcers blew up the Dadaev family house in Novy Agachaul. According to Aslikhanum Dadaeva, Alautdin's mother, power agents planted an explosive device into their house.
The explosion in Novy Agachaul was a punitive action, Ekaterina Sokiryanskaya, the head of the International Crisis Group in Russia, suggests.
"This practice, which was originally used in Chechnya, where they blew up and burned down houses belonging to relatives of militants, spread, after 2013, unfortunately, also in Dagestan," Ekaterina told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
