Armenia: contest announced for best ten short film scenarios about Armenian Genocide

The Armenian Fund for Cinematography Development "Golden Apricot" has announced, jointly with the Charity Fund "Pyunik", a contest aiming at defining the best 10 scenarios for 4-6-minute fiction films and documentaries about the Armenian genocide.

Films will be dated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire, Raffi Movsisyan, the project coordinator, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. Of all the scenarios presented, a professional jury will select best 10 stories for filming.

The presentation of films is scheduled for April 24, 2015. According to Movsisyan, all the films will be surely presented to the festival "Golden Apricot", as well as to international film festivals. Spectators will be able to watch these films with English and Russian captions.
