Asker Sokht released in Krasnodar
Asker Sokht, the head of the Krasnodar territorial organization "Adyge-Khase", is back at large, his lawyer Inver Tlij told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
On February 15, a court in Krasnodarput Asker Sokht into custody. He was sentenced to eight days of administrative arrest for disobeying a lawful demand of a power official.
The lawyer has added that now he and his client are waiting for appointment of the date of consideration of the complaint lodged by them against the ruling of the Lenin District Court of Krasnodar; he expressed hope that the higher judicial instance will overturn the Sokht's administrative arrest.
Earlier, activists of Circassian public organizations of Adygea demanded to release their leader, saying that his arrest was based on far-fetched claims and had to do with his public activities.
