Volgograd hunger-strikers suspend everyday protest, but continue the "fan-type" one
As of today, the hunger-striking parents of many children and parents of disabled children suspend their endless action and announce the beginning of the so-called "fan-type" (intermittent) hunger strike. One of the reasons is the state of health of the majority of protesters.
As reported by the News Agency "Height 102", a total of 382 persons, living in the Volgograd Region, plan to support the demands of the "fan-type" hunger strike, which starts from February 25.
Today it became known that Nina Boldyreva, the Ombudsperson of the Volgograd Region, has addressed the Volgograd City Investigating Department of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) and the police asking to check the organizers of the protest action.
"My opinion is that the organizers disregard the real interests of the protesters," said Nina Boldyreva, noting that the organizers of the hunger strike are manipulating other participants, by putting psychological pressure on them.
