Cemal states that information about poisoning of Doku Umarov may be true
Until the body of Doku (Dokku) Umarov, the leader of "Imarat Kavkaz", is demonstrated, any rumours about his death will only be predictions, Orhan Cemal, a special correspondent of the newspaper "Izvestia", has noted in his comment on the information that appeared on the Internet that Umarov was poisoned. The reporter believes that the information about Umarov's death has the right to exist.
The information about Doku Umarov's poisoning with reference to a representative of one of the websites supporting Chechen militants was posted on February 18 by Avrom Shmulevich, an Israeli analyst, on his page in the "LiveJournal".
According to the post, Umarov was poisoned while inspecting one of the winter militant bases in Chechnya; and the four militants accused of doing it have been executed.
Orhan Cemal believes that information about Umarov's poisoning may be true.
He mentioned, as an indirect evidence of Umarov's death, the fact that Kadyrov started talking about it for a long time, but no refutation followed. The second fact is that Jamaats began quitting the unified subordination. For example, the Buynaksk Jamaat has announced that it does treat itself as an Imarat one. Naturally, until the body is demonstrated, nobody will believe that Umarov is dead," the journalist has concluded.
