On February 26, Russia starts Paralympic Torch Relay
On February 26, the Far-Eastern Primorsky Territory will start the Torch Relay of the Winter Paralympic Games in Sochi. The Flame of the 2014 Paralympicswill visit eight regions of Russia and on March 6 will be lit at the "Roza Khutor" Sochi ski resort.
The Torch Relay will start on the embankment of the Sports Harbour in Vladivostok, from where the flame will go to the Russian Island. Then, the relay will cross the country and reach Moscow, where the Paralympic Flame will be welcomed on March 2.
On March 5, the flame will arrive in the capital of the Paralympics-2014, lifted to the ski resort "Roza Khutor". Then, the relay will run along the main streets of Sochi.
On the opening day of the Paralympic Games, the flame will visit the Olympic Park in the Imereti Lowland, and then will get back to the mountain cluster, where on February 6 the lighting ceremony of the Paralympic bowl will be held.
The Winter Paralympic Games in Sochi will last from March 7 to March 16, 2014. They will be attended by 692 athletes from 47 countries.
