Party in memory of Natalia Estemirova held in Grozny
On February 28, a commemoration party of Natalia Estemirova, an employee of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial", took place in Grozny, which was attended by local human rights activists, her friends and those whom she had helped.
The "Party of Natasha's Friends" was dated to her birthday, Kheda Saratova, the head of the News Agency "Objective", told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to her story, people whose relatives are still listed as missing, come to such events "to feel themselves again not alone in their grief, to feel hope that maybe someone will be found still alive."
Natalia Estemirova was always ready to come for help in a difficult moment, said Ruslan Akhmaev, the Regional Public Association "Optimum". "This was the topic the audience of the party spoke about by rights defenders, as well as those whom Natalya Estemirova had helped. They recollected the facts related to her work," he said.
Let us remind you that on February 28 in Moscow, the conference hall of the HRC "Memorial" held the first Russia's show of the film "Barzakh" by the Lithuanian director Mantas Kvedaravichyus, dedicated to the memory of Natalia Estemirova.
