Baku starts dismantling building, where PFPA office was situated
On March 4, Baku authorities began dismantling the building, which housed the office of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), explaining their actions by the emergency condition of the building.
Let us remind you that at night on March 3, an explosion occurred in a two-storey warehouse in the building located in the Narimanov district of Baku.
On March 4, the said building, which housed the office of the PFPA, was visited by Shakhmar Ibadov, the deputy chief executive of Narimanov District, accompanied by policemen. They demanded from the PFPA to vacate the building, saying that it is in emergency condition and should be demolished.
To avoid forced eviction, the PFPA leaders began taking out their computer equipment, documents, party paraphernalia and other property.
The PFPA believes that the eviction is a deliberate provocation aimed to deprive it of the office. The owner of the building said that the demolition of the building is unjustified and intends to sue the authorities, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
