People killed in special operation in Maidanskoe buried in Dagestan
The four villagers of Maidanskoe, Untsukul District of Dagestan, killed during the counterterrorist operation (CTO) have been buried.
On July 6, the Untsukul District of Dagestan was put under the CTO regime. Power agents blocked the villages of Zirani, Balakhani and Maidanskoe. Locals claimed that Maidanskoe was blocked completely – nobody was let out of the village. According to the police, on July 6 five suspected militants were killed in Maidanskoe; on July 8 – two more were liquidated. Power agents blew up eight houses in Maidanskoe, including the madrasa building. Villagers also told that the local Imam and the head of the village administration were beaten up. On July 9, law enforcement units left Maidanskoe.
The bodies of the four residents of Maidanskoe, considered by power agents to be militants' helpers, were buried on July 16 and 17, Imamutdin Kamilov, the deputy head of the village administration, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
Earlier, the casualties' relatives complained that power agents refused to give out their bodies for burial.
