FSB: five unexploded shells found in Rostov Region after shelling
As reported by the Russian FSB's Frontier Department for the Rostov Region, five unexploded artillery shells may still be present in the territory of the Kuibyshev District of the Rostov Region, which flew from the Ukrainian territory during the recent armed clashes.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 17 a fight began at the Ukrainian border checkpoint "Marinovka" (from the Russian side its name is "Kuibyshevo"). The Ukrainian checkpoint was shelled by means of multiple launch rocket systems. As a result, more than 15 artillery shells got to the territory of the Russian Federation; most of them blew up.
After the warfare resumed in the Donetsk Region, accompanied by artillery shelling, the staff of the checkpoint "Kuibyshevo" were evacuated to a safe distance, the "Interfax" reports with reference to the press service of the Southern Customs Administration of the Russian Federation.
The Russian party is waiting explanations from the Ukrainian authorities about the shelling of the Russian territory, and information about the Ukrainian units, concentrated near the border, said Anatoly Antonov, the Russian Deputy Defence Minister.
