Rostov regional authorities decide to move refugees' TAC farther from Ukrainian border
As reported on July 24 by the press service of the regional department for the prevention and elimination of emergencies (known as DPChS), it was decided to move the temporary accommodation centre (TAC), located three kilometres off the checkpoint "Novoshakhtinsk" in the Rostov Region, away from the Ukrainian border.
"Due to the fact that the territory of the farm Chernikov, where the TAC for refugees arriving from the south-eastern regions of Ukraine is located, is repeatedly shelled from the territory of the neighbouring state, it was decided to move the TAC deeper into the territory of Russia," the source "region 161.ru" quotes the message of the DPChS of the Rostov Region.
Besides, it is planned to set up a new TAC for 500 people in the settlement of Sokolovo-Kundryuchensky of the city of Novoshakhtinsk. Currently, preparatory work for setting up a TAC is under way. It is assumed that first refugees will be placed in the new TAC early next week, the RIA "Novosti" reported on July 24.
