Law enforcers of Ukraine and Russia exchange accusations of shelling pre-border areas

The Ukrainian border checkpoint "Marinovka" was shelled from the territory of the Rostov Region, said the information centre of the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) of Ukraine.

According to Andrei Lysenko, the spokesman of the above information centre, the "Marinovka" was shelled from positions near the village of Dmitrovka, Rostov Region. According to his version, after attacking the checkpoint, combatants undertook a provocative shelling of the Russian territory, says the website of the NSDC.

Meanwhile, the Frontier Department of the Russia's FSB for the Rostov Region asserts that because of Ukrainian attacks they had to evacuate almost all the residents of the farm named Primiussky in the Kuibyshev District.

Also, as reported on July 25 in a statement posted on the website of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) and signed by its spokesman Vladimir Markin, an investigative group, including employees of the ICRF, was shelled from mortars near the above farm.

Mr Markin has added that according to preliminary data, during this mortar shelling from the territory of Ukraine a mild concussion was inflicted to a minor girl from Primiussky, who was in the yard of her house.
