Attacks on law enforcers

On July 21, at about 11:45 a.m., a shootout occurred near the village of Padinskaya in the Novoselitskoe District of the Stavropol Territory. When checking the operational information, field investigators and special troop fighters of the Police Chief Department cordoned off the forest belt. According to law enforcers, they were shelled from the depths of the woods, and then they opened return fire. The shootout lasted for about 10 minutes. As a result, a man was killed, and the law enforcers found a TT pistol and a grenade with him. None of the law enforcers was injured. By a photo published on the website of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), Maida Kakbulatova, a resident of the village of Kara-Tyube of the Neftekumsk District of the Stavropol Territory, identified the killed man as her husband Almaz Abdulnasyrov, born in 1981. According to the woman, her husband was not in any way connected with the armed underground. The woman stated that her husband bought watermelons, melons, and fruits from wholesalers and then took them to the Stavropol market for retail sale. According to Maida Kakbulatova, on July 17, Almaz Abdulnasyrov bought melons from wholesalers and went to the city to sell them. In the morning of July 21, the man called his wife for the last time and told her that he had sold everything, bought grapes and started his way to home. That was his last call. On July 23, Almaz Abdulnasyrov was buried. According to his widow, she found on his body numerous bruises, abrasions and burns.

On July 23, Alexei Aleturovich, a regular soldier, was found dead in the vicinity of the Buynaksk military training ground. He was called to the army from the town of Kirov-Chepetsk of the Kirov Region, and he served in a motorized rifle brigade deployed in Buynaksk. Alexei Aleturovich died from a gunshot wound to his head. There are versions that he committed suicide or that he was murdered. His relatives believe that Alexei could become a victim of hazing in the military unit.

On July 27, at about 6:10 p.m., in the vicinity of the village of Yandare of the Nazran District of Ingushetia, unidentified persons, who travelled in a white Lada car, shelled soldiers of internal troops. The soldiers were on duty at a checkpoint located near the federal highway "Kavkaz". They entered a nearby shop, and they were attacked at the exit. As a result of the attack, one soldier was killed, and another soldier was wounded.

Bombings and terror acts

On July 23, a Gazel car was blown up on the highway "Kavkaz" in the Kumtorkala District of Dagestan. As a result of the explosion, a man was killed. According to law enforcers, he was a member of the armed underground. According to the preliminary version, the car was blown up as a result of detonation of an explosive device, which was transported inside the car. The victim has been preliminary identified as a native of Makhachkala, who had earlier criminal record for his involvement in illegal armed formations (IAFs) and whose relatives filed a complaint about his disappearance. The deceased man found in the burnt-out Gazel car has been identified as Asoltan Amaev. On July 22, his wife, a resident of the village of Tarki of the city of Makhachkala, filed a complaint about his disappearance. Then, the woman suggested that her husband might have been kidnapped by law enforcers. In the morning of July 21, Asoltan Amaev went to work: he worked as a driver of the eighth route taxi. In the evening, he was supposed to pick his daughter from the kindergarten; however, he never arrived there. A female witness reported that Asoltan Amaev together with one of his passengers was detained by policemen. According to his wife, Asoltan Amaev was a Salafi, and he had earlier criminal record for his involvement in IAFs. His relatives believe that Asoltan Amaev was killed.
