Dagestan: trial of Abakarova, accused of possessing "suicide bomber's belt", postponed till August 18

The Sovietskiy District Court of Makhachkala has postponed till August 18 the consideration of the case of Sabina Abakarova, a local resident, accused of illegal possession of firearms. The session was postponed because of the vacations of the policeman, who is in charge of storing the exhibits that the court had planned to investigate, said the advocate.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Abakarova's case arrived at the court on January 30, 2014. She is accused of keeping a "suicide bomber's belt".

The defendant insists that the above "belt" was planted during the search; and, according to her mother – Marina Abakarova, the search was conducted with violations of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CCP).

Sabina Abakarova had never been married, said the mother, whereas the mass media wrote that she was a militant's widow.
