Ilyas Temaev sentenced to eight months in prison in Dagestan

The Sovietsky District Court of Makhachkala has found the doctor Ilyas Temaev guilty of keeping marijuana without intent to sell and sentenced him to eight months in prison. The court took into account Temaev's term, spent in custody, and released him in the courtroom.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the 24-year-old dentist Ilyas Temaev, a resident of Makhachkala, was charged with possession of narcotic drugs and an attempt of illegal sale thereof. His mother stated a fabrication of the case.

The sentence notes that the court took into account the absence of Temaev's criminal record, committing his crime for the first time, his recognition of guilt and his positive characteristics.

At the trial, Temaev confessed that he had used drugs, but denied his involvement in sale thereof, said his mother Patimat Magomedova.

Along with that, she is still sure that her son is innocent, but she is not going to file an appeal.
