Musa Magomedov's relatives rally in Kizilyurt demanding his release

On August 1, relatives of Musa Magomedov, a detained resident of the village of Nechaevka of the Kizilyurt District of Dagestan, held a spontaneous gathering, demanding to release the detainee. Musa Magomedov was detained on suspicion of illegal possession of weapons. Law enforcers check him for involvement in illegal armed formations (IAFs). This was reported by an official from the Kizilyurt OVD (Interior Division).

On July 31, law enforcers conduct a search in the house of Musa Magomedov and found a pistol. Musa Magomedov was detained, despite the fact that his relatives claimed the pistol had been planted to him.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a female relative of Musa Magomedov that at least 100 people gathered in front of the Kizilyurt OVD building.

"They detain our relatives one by one. At first, they detained Isa Abdulkadyrov. And now, they detain his cousin Musa Magomedov. We demand to stop pressure against both men," said Samrat, the wife of Isa Abdulkadyrov.

Earlier, on July 10, the law enforcers detained Isa Abdulkadyrov. According to the law enforcement authorities, weapons were found in his house. After his detention, Isa Abdulkadyrov claimed he incriminated himself after being beaten by policemen.

According to advocate Arsen Radjabov, who represents the interests of Musa Magomedov and Isa Abdulkadyrov, on August 1, the detainees were visited by members of the Public Oversight Committee (POC) and members of the organization "Mothers of Dagestan for Human Rights".
