Musa Magomedov set free in Dagestan

Musa Magomedov, a resident of the village of Nechaevka, who was detained on July 31 after a search of his house, was released in the evening of August 2. This was reported by his advocate Arsen Radjabov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning of July 31, law enforcers conducted a search in the Musa Magomedov's house in the village of Nechaevka and allegedly found a pistol hidden under a bed in the bedroom. As a result, Musa Magomedov was detained, despite the fact that his relatives claimed the pistol had been planted to him. On August 1, his family members held a spontaneous gathering, demanding to release the detainee. Musa Magomedov was detained on suspicion of illegal possession of weapons. Law enforcers check him for involvement in illegal armed formations (IAFs). This was reported by an official from the Kizilyurt OVD (Interior Division).

On August 2, investigator in the case sent a request to take Musa Magomedov into custody to the District Prosecutor's Office. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by advocate Arsen Radjabov.

"In the case of Musa Magomedov, prosecutor decided that in fact there were no sufficient grounds to keep a person in custody," the advocate has explained.

According to Radjabov, Musa Magomedov was released in the evening of August 2. Meanwhile, the advocate has noted that fact does not mean that his client has been cleared of all suspicions.
