Investigators to unveil Kuashev's autopsy results within a month, reporters state

Khakim Kuchmezov, the chairman of the Kabardino-Balkarian branch of the "Yabloko" Party believes that the autopsy results of Timur Kuashev's body will be released within a month. Experts need a few weeks to establish the reason of Timur's death, said Rustam Matsev, an employee of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial".

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Timur Kuashev disappeared in the evening on July 31. The journalist's body was found on August 1 in a suburb of Nalchik. The forensic examination revealed no signs of violent death; and his relatives agreed to the autopsy. It was held, but no results were reported so far.

"On the day, when Timur Kuashev's body was taken away after the autopsy, they told us that the result would be known on Monday. But by experience I know that usually experts are unable to reveal the reason of one's death so quickly – as a rule, it takes a few weeks," Rustam Matsev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Khakim Kuchmezov agrees: "Today, we found out that an autopsy examination is a long process that takes about a month. We keep this issue under control."
