Two power agents wounded in CTO in KBR, law enforcers report (+video)

As part of a counterterrorist operation (CTO) conducted in the village of Lechinkay, Chegem District of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR), law enforcers blocked a house, where, according to power agents, members of the armed underground could be hiding. As a result of an assault, a suspected militant was killed. Two law enforcers were wounded, said the operative headquarters for the KBR.

The killed suspected militant was identified as a local Timur Betuganov, said the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC).

Timur Betuganov, born in 1976, was on the federal wanted list on suspicion of attempted murders of law enforcers and arms circulation.

In the course of the CTO, power agents managed to bring a woman and three children out of the blocked house, the NAC's Information Centre told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, without specifying whether they were relatives of the slain militant.
