In Azerbaijan, Ruslan Nasirli's advocate complains of non-admission to his client
The advocate of Ruslan Nasirli, member of the Youth Committee of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), who was arrested in the administrative order, reports that he is not allowed to meet his client. The advocate finds it illegal and intends to appeal against Nasirli's arrest.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Ruslan Nasirli was detained on August 2 in Baku. The PFPA believes that he was detained because of creating a group on the Facebook "Supreme Commander, answer to your people!" with a call to express protest against the actions of the military leadership for admitting casualties in the Karabakh conflict zone.
The advocate Fakhraddin Mekhtiev told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that during five days of Nasirli's detention he could not meet his client.
"Only on the fourth day after Ruslan Nasirli's detention we could clarify his fate. As it turned out, on August 4, he faced trial and was sentenced to 30 days of administrative arrest on charges of 'hooliganism' and 'disobeying the police'," said Mekhtiev.
He promised to submit an appeal against Nasirli's arrest on Friday, August 8.
