FSB reports on 48 Ukrainian soldiers sent home
On August 7, other 48 soldiers, who had entered the territory of Russia, were sent to Ukraine, said Vasily Malaev, the Spokesperson of the Border Guard Service of the Russian FSB for the Rostov Region.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 2, 12 soldiers of the Ukrainian army approached the Russian border checkpoint "Gukovo". On the following night, other 438 Ukrainian soldiers crossed the Russian-Ukrainian border and found themselves in the Rostov Region.
As of August 7, the majority of soldiers of the Ukrainian army were sent back to their homeland, and only about 50 of them stayed in the Rostov Region, the "Gazeta.ru" reports.
"48 Ukrainian soldiers were brought from a temporary camp to the border checkpoint 'Veselo-Voznesenka'," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Vasily Malaev as saying.
So far, no comments are available from the Ukrainian party on the above statement of the Border Guard Service of the Russian FSB for the Rostov Region about 48 soldiers sent home. On August 7, the Ukrainian authorities stated that 46 militaries, including 18 officers, were kept by force on the territory of the Russian Federation.
