Resident of Makhachkala claims being forced to give DNA assay

Aminat Umarova, a resident of Makhachkala, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent today that policemen demand from her to give a DNA assay.

According to the woman, this year, policemen have already visited her home three times.

"Today, on August 9, they came in the morning, about ten o'clock. This was already their third visit this year. They rudely demand from me to come to the Lenin ROVD (District Interior Division) of Makhachkala to give my blood and saliva DNA assay. When I ask them why I should do it, they can't say anything reasonable, just repeat that I should do it," said Umarova.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2013 law enforcers also came to Umarova, in particular, on June 29 and December 6.

Aminat Umarova believes that policemen began showing interest in her after disappearance of her husband Ramazan Umarov. "After he was kidnapped, they come every year to ask questions; in total, they came for some 10-15 times; and since last year they began demanding from me to give a DNA assay," she said.

The woman is going to complain to the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan about the policemen.
