After meeting in Sochi, Ilham Aliev to resume belligerent rhetoric, Armenian experts believe

After his meeting in Sochi with the Armenian President, the Azerbaijani President will return to the belligerent rhetoric; however, he will seek a peaceful solution to the Karabakh conflict, the Armenian experts questioned by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent state. According to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, at present, it still makes no sense to talk about the new arrangements and to sign new documents.

It was reported that on August 10, in Sochi, during the trilateral meeting of the Presidents of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, Vladimir Putin, Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliev stated that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be resolved by peaceful means only.

However, according to Sergey Minasyan, the Deputy Director of the Caucasus Institute, the conflicting parties still got diverging views on compromiseThe expert believes that the maximum compromise the sides can agree upon is to secure regulations on reduction of tension on the front line.

According to Arman Melikyan, a political analyst and former Foreign Minister of Nagorno-Karabakh, no rapprochement between the parties to the conflict has been achieved.

In his turn, the Armenian leader believes the incidents at the border will lose their intensity of July and early August.

Serzh Sargsyan believes the effective method to stop incidents at the border is in creating international mechanisms of investigation and identification of guilty person and bringing them to the international community.
