FMS offers to close camps of Ukrainian refugees in Rostov Region by September 1

The Russian Federal Migration Service (FMS) has drafted a decision on resettling Ukrainian refugees from the temporary accommodation centres (TACs) located in the overpopulated regions of Russia to those subjects of the Federation, where they could find employment. Now, the TACs in the Rostov Region house 5229 forced migrants, the Chief Department (CD) of the Russia's Ministry for Emergencies (MfE) for the Rostov Region reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that as of August 9, the total number of refugees from Ukraine in the Rostov Region exceeded 51,500 thousand people, the above CD of the MfE reported. The regional authorities have set up 94 TACs and four field camps for them.

On August 11, the governmental portal "Regulation.ru" posted the above draft decree prepared by the FMS, offering to close the TACs with Ukrainian refugees.

The FMS offers to close the TACs opened in 11 regions of Russia in connection with the upcoming school year and gradual deterioration of weather conditions, the "Kommersant" reports.

Meanwhile, the state of emergency announced in the Rostov Region on June 30 continues in 55 municipal formations of the region.
