Novocherkassk Court dismisses appeal of Union "Women of Don" against fine for activities without registration as "foreign agent"

On Friday, the Novocherkassk City Court has dismissed the appeal filed by the Union "Women of Don" against the court's decision on the fine of 300,000 roubles for the NGO's activities without registration as a "foreign agent." The Union "Women of Don" intends to challenge the decision, advocate Olga Gnezdilova reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 8, in the Rostov Region, a magistrate fined the public organization "Union 'Women of Don'" for 300,000 roubles on charges of political activities without registration as a "foreign agent". The defenders of the Union have announced their intention to challenge the decision.

According to Olga Gnezdilova, the Union also plans to file a complaint to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR).

Earlier, the Union "Women of Don" has started to raise funds to pay the fine, since it does not expect a positive decision of the court in its favour. The Union asks its supporters for help.
