Dagestani woman sentenced on charges of involvement in armed underground

Madina Djamaldinova, a resident of Makhachkala, has been sentenced to 1.5 years of imprisonment in settlement-colony on charges of joining the armed underground and aiding other militants, the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reports.

According to investigators, Madina Djamaldinova worked as a saleswoman at the shop "Gurab" located in Malygin Street in Makhachkala. In June 2013, she was visited by her friend involved in the activities of the armed underground and invited Madina Djamaldinova to join them. The investigators believe Madina Djamaldinova accepted the invitation.

Thereafter, Madina Djamaldinova started aiding militants by providing them with food and clothing, the website of the ICRF's Investigating Department for Dagestan reports.
