The man claims that he had accidentally found them seven years ago in the vicinity of Vedeno and kept the munition in his house since. The man is now under recognizance not to leave.
On August 13, in the outskirts of the district centre Achkhoy-Martan in Chechnya, policemen stopped to check a Lada car driven by a 46-year-old resident of the district. During inspection of the passenger compartment policemen found a hidden Makarov pistol, converted for shooting with a silencer, and a grenade. The detainee confessed that in 2008-2012 he provided assistance to members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) by handing foodstuffs over to them.
On August 14, the house of Akhmed Nurmagomedov, a resident of the village of Ameterkmakhi, Akusha District of Dagestan, was searched. During the search, power agents found firearms, which, according to relatives, were planted by power agents themselves. Nurmagomedov was detained, and, according to his advocate, was forced "to state that it was his firearms, or to slander somebody in exchange of documenting the firearms as traumatic." The advocate believes that the incident with Nurmagomedov has to do with his plan to build a medrese in his village.
