In Dagestan, "Yabloko" regional leader refuses to complain about law enforcers' action during his detention

Arthur Babaev, the head of the Dagestan Regional Branch of the "Yabloko" Party, who on August 14 was brought to the police station together with his brothers and his wife, has stated he does not intend to file a complaint about the policemen's actions to the law enforcement bodies, since he does not believe that it is possible to find the truth.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 14, Arthur Babaev with his wife and two brothers was brought to the Soviet ROVD (District Interior Division) of Makhachkala. Arthur Babaev has complained about the unlawful search of his house and rude behaviour of the policemen.

"Policemen detained me several times for my appearance, since they did not like my beard. It seems I have been put on some police lists, and thus they pay much attention to me," the leader of the Regional Branch of the "Yabloko" Party has explained.

He has also noted that earlier, he had appealed to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Dagestan with a letter, in which he mentioned the cases of police abuses.

However, Arthur Babaev has added that he is willing to help those residents of the republic, who want to file such complaints.
