In Dagestan, armed men in masks kill Ashilta resident

At the Monday night, a resident of the village of Ashilta was killed by unidentified armed men in masks, stated Magomednur Nazirbegov, the head of the village administration. According to him, another local man was injured in the attack.

According to Magomednur Nazirbegov, two local residents were returning home by car from Kabardino-Balkaria, where they visited a healing spring.

"Early in the morning, on the outskirts of the village, they were stopped by unidentified men in black Lada Priora car, who were armed with submachine guns and wore masks. They severely beat them. As a result of the attack, one of the victims died, most likely from the beating, although his body also bore gunshot wounds. The other victim is now in hospital in Makhachkala," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the head of the village administration.

The killed man was Akhmed Magomedov, born in 1975, an unemployed father of four children. He was never registered at the police. According to Magomednur Nazirbegov, the investigative activities are underway in the village, and law enforcers question the man, who found the victims of the attack.
