12 parties registered by North-Ossetian CEC to run for Vladikavkaz City Duma
Candidates from 12 political parties have been included in the electoral lists for the elections of deputies to Vladikavkaz representative assembly (City Duma) of sixth convocation, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of North Ossetia reports. In total, as of today, more than 130 persons of the party lists are registered for participation in the elections.
The North-Ossetian CEC has approved the lists of candidates nominated by the regional branches of the following parties: the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia), the "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" (Fair Russia), the LDPR (Liberal Democratic Party of Russia), the "Yabloko", the CPRF (Communist Party of the Russian Federation), the "Communists of Russia", the "Patriots of Russia", the "Russian People's Control Party," the "Party of Peace and Unity", the "People's Party 'For Women of Russia", the "Alliance of Greens and Social Democrats", and the North-Ossetian branch of the organization "All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation."
In total, as of today, 141 candidates of the party lists have been nominated; of them, five candidates have not been registered for various reasons, the official website of the North-Ossetian CEC reports.
The number of registered candidates has included ecologist Atsamaz Khadikov, who represents the "Yabloko" Party, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports. According Atsamaz Khadikov, if elected a deputy, he will mainly focus his activities on the solution of ecological problems.
The elections of Deputies of the Vladikavkaz City Duma are scheduled for September 14.
