Nurmagomedov's relatives claim falsification of evidence against him

Relatives of Akhmed Nurmagomedov, a resident of the Akusha District of Dagestan, who has been detained on suspicion of possession of weapon, have filed to the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan and to the Dagestani Regional Public Organization (DRPO) "Pravozaschita" (Advocacy) the complaints and stated that in the weapon appearing in the case had been planted during the search.

On August 14, Akhmed Nurmagomedov was detained after the search conducted by law enforcers in his house and seizure of a pistol. On August 16, the Akusha District Court arrested Akhmed Nurmagomedov for two months.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent has been told by Aishat Abdulkadyrova, an aunt of the detainee, that on August 19, the relatives of Akhmed Nurmagomedov appealed to the Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan and the DRPO "Pravozaschita" asking to help in restoring the violated rights of Akhmed Nurmagomedov.

"After the search, one of the seconded law enforcers was talking to someone by his mobile phone and repeated several times: 'Everything is clean here, and nothing is found.' When the law enforcers, who conducted the search, went out of the gate, two persons entered the first floor of the house and found a pistol and a camouflage uniform in the children's clothes that had been repeatedly searched earlier," Aishat Abdulkadyrova describes the incident in her complaint.
