NAC:two Khasavyurt casualties pre-identified

The Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) has reported on preliminary identification of two suspected militants killed during the special operation in Khasavyurt.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on Friday, according to a source from the law enforcement bodies, militants opened fire on policemen from a private house on the outskirts of Khasavyurt and wounded a policeman. The law enforcers blocked the house. The suspected militants refused to surrender, and then the law enforcers started to attack the house.

According to the updated information, after the active phase of the operation, the law enforcers found the bodies of four killed men. According to the NAC, they were pre-identified as Magomed Gamzuev, born in 1988, and Abakar Bolatkhanov, born in 1987, active members of the "Khasavyurt" criminal grouping.

According to the NAC, firearms and ammunition were found and confiscated at the place of the incident.

The killed men were suspected of attacks on law enforcers, stated Yegor Balashov, Spokesman of the Investigating Department for Dagestan of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

"We are talking about an attack on a FSB agent committed on August 20 in Toturbiev Street in Khasavyurt, when his friend was killed. Besides, they were suspected of the murder of a staff member the Centre for Combating Extremism in July," Yegor Balashov has stated.

It should be note that a large-size hiding with large quantity of ammunition was found in a nearby mosque, the website of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports. Investigating authorities has instituted a criminal case on the fact of events in Khasavyurt.
