In Dagestan, resident of Bairamaul reports kidnapping of his son

On Monday, Omaraskhab Abdulkhalikov, a resident of the village of Bairamaul of the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, has been kidnapped by unidentified persons, stated Isa Abdulkhalikov, the father of the disappeared man. The villager associates the kidnapping of his son with the fact that one of his sons is a member of the illegal armed formations (IAFs).

According to Isa Abdulkhalikov, three unidentified men in a car drove up to the Omaraskhab's house and forced the owner of the house into their car.

"My family members got problems after my younger son Shamil had joined the IAF. I believe law enforcers are involved in the Omaraskhab's kidnapping," Isa Abdulkhalikov told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"Two others of my sons were also kidnapped, and later we found them at the police stations. At present, Magomed, one of my sons, is kept at the SIZO-3 (pre-trial prison) of the city of Khasavyurt, and he is charged with illegal possession of weapons. Shamkhal, my other son, is kept at the SIZO-1 of Makhachkala, and he is accused of aiding and abetting militants," the man has said. Isa Abdulkhalikov has pointed out that he believes the charges against his sons are far-fetched.

Isa Abdulkhalikov has reported that he intends to file a complaint about the kidnapping of his son to the Prosecutor's Office and the Khasavyurt ROVD (District Interior Division).
