NAC: member of "Tsuntin" grouping killed in Dagestan
According to the Information Centre of the Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC), in Dagestan, in a shootout with power agents a local resident was killed, who was involved in the deaths of OMON (riot police) fighters near the village of Shaitli in December 2013. He was identified as Magomed Rasulov, an active member of the "Tsuntin" militant grouping, NAC informs.
"As a result of a complex of search actions, at about 2 a.m., a member of an illegal armed formation (IAF) was detected in the village of Vitsiyatl. At an attempt to detain him, the bandit rendered armed resistance by opening fire on the police. He was killed in the skirmish by response fire," The ITAR-TASS quotes the NAC's message.
No power agents or civilians were hurt in the shootout.
"Rasulov was involved in numerous killings of law enforcers; he participated in the shelling of OMON agents in December 2013 near the village of Shaitli, during which four law enforcers were fatally wounded," said the NAC.
