North-Ossetian Muftiat offers 0.5 million roubles for information about murders of Dudarov and Gamzatov

Khadjimurat Gatsalov, the Mufti of North Ossetia, has announced today that the Republic's Muslim community is ready to pay half a million roubles for any information about the murder of the Deputy Mufti of North Ossetia Rasul Gamzatov, who was killed on August 16 in Vladikavkaz.

"The Islamic community is ready to pay 500,000 roubles for any information that may help investigators to unmask the killers of Gamzatov," the Mufti Khadjimurat Gatsalov said today at the roundtable, where the investigation into the murder of Rasul Gamzatov, the Imam of a Sunni mosque, was discussed. According to his story, the offer could be of great help to the inquiry.

Gatsalov has added that the community is ready to pay the same amount for information about another murder – of Ibragim Dudarov, the Deputy Mufti of North Ossetia, who was shot dead on December 26, 2012, in the outskirt of Vladikavkaz.

According to the calculations of the "Caucasian Knot", Rasul Gamzatov was the fourth Muslim leader killed in Northern Caucasus since the beginning of 2014, and the fortieth – since 2009.
