In Chechnya, kindergarten teacher suspected of beating children

In the Staropromyslovsky District of Grozny, a teacher of the kindergarten "Orlyonok" (Eaglet) is suspected in systematic beating of children. This was reported on August 28 by the press service of the Chechen Prosecutor's Office.

Initially, the Chechen Prosecutor's Office has received a message claiming that a teacher of the kindergarten fails to perform his duties properly.

Later, a prosecutors' inspection was organized to investigate this claims. The prosecutors' inspection has revealed that the teacher systematically beat children in the kindergarten. The offenses were recorded by the surveillance camera.

Thereafter, the materials of the prosecutors' inspection were sent to the investigating authorities. Investigators have instituted a criminal case on the grounds of an offense under article about improper performance of duties on education of a minor.

According to Article 156 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the suspect kindergarten teacher faces a large fine, mandatory labour, or deprivation of liberty for the term of up to three years.
